"Samuel2 Cornwall (William1), born Sept., 1642; died Dec. 6, 1728; married June [error for January] 15, 1667, Rebecca, daughter of William Bull of Cambridge, Mass., who was born Aug. 27, 1644. He lived in Middletown, Conn., and joined the church there in 1668. His will, dated July 3, 1722, mentions wife Rebecca, sons Samuel and Ebenezer, daughters Rebecca, Elizabeth and Mary, and granddaughters Jemima and Lois, daughters of his son William, deceased. His estate amounted to £251."

Cornwall, Samuel, Sen., Middletown. Invt. £25-01-02. Taken 24 January, 1728-9, by Joseph Starr, William Whitmore and Joseph Rockwell. Will dated 3 July, 1722: I give to my wife Rebeckah the use of all my moveable estate during life, and 1-3 part forever; the use of the south end of my dwelling house, and 1-3 part of all my cleared lands. To my son Samuel I give what I have made over to him by deed of gift. To my son Ebenezer what I have made over to him by deed of gift. To my daughter Rebeckah I give all my lands in Wongog Meadow. I give to my daughter Elizabeth 14 acres near 3-Mile-Hill, 60 1-4 acres at the west end after Elizabeth hath her eighty acres at the east end. I give to my granddaughters, Jemima and Lois Cornwall, £35 apiece, partly paid already (daughters of my son William Cornwall deceased). To my grandson Samuel Cornwall, who bears my name, I give a good Bible, and order my executors to procure it for him. I appoint my sons Samuel and Ebenezer to be executors.
