- ↑ There is some confusion over the parentage of this Samuel Buck. Source:Gould, Ethel E. Beieler. Genealogy of Joseph Teel and Mary Stetson Alexander, Their Ancestors and Descendants, p. 280 identifies him as s/o Samuel Buck and Abigail Wyman. Abigail d. 1720 and the father m. (2) 1721 Sarah Walker but wrongly claims Sarah m. Jacob Winn (she is named as deceased in her father's will of 1744 and Samuel appears to have married 1742 Elizabeth (Dane) Blunt). This seems likely since the son Samuel named daughters Abigail and Judith tying him to this Samuel.
The confusion is caused because the age at death matches better another Samuel born to Samuel and Hannah Buck in 1711. However, according to several sources, that Samuel m. Rebecca/Rachel Roberts and went to Killingly (e.g., here, others).
