I Samuel Brown — Borne at Newbury Sept 5^th Anno 1687.

I went first to the Grammar School in October 1701.

I Samuel Brown was admited into Harvard College, at Cambridge on the third day of July, in the year 1705 in the eighteenth year of my age,

And took my first degree on the second day of July Anno 1709, and made entrance upon the ministry preaching my first sermon at Haverhill, on the 22^ond of July Anno 1710.

Item. I came to Abington, with a unanimous call from ye people there, in order to settle on the 8^th of December Anno 1711.

Item. I was married to Miss Dorothy Woodbridge on the 24^th October Anno 1712, and I brought her home to Abington on the 14^th December following.

My son Woodbridge Brown was borne Sept 28^th Anno Domini 1714.

I was ordained Pastor of the Church of Christ in Abington Nov 17^th 1714.

My daughter Dorothy was borne on the Lords day night on the 2^d day of September Anno 1716, and she died September 26^th living but three weeks and three days.

My son Samuel was borne July 17^th 1717, and deceased 29 days after same month.

My dearly beloved and dutiful wife Dorothy deceased, on the fifth day of April Anno 1718, The Will of the Lord is done — Amen —! But oh ! —

I was married unto Miss Mary Pratt Feb 10^th 1718-19.

My daughter Sarah was borne Nov^r 17^th 1719.

My son Matthew Brown was borne July 21^st 1722, baptised Aug 5^th 1722, and deceased Aug 29^th 1722.

My son Matthew the second of that name was borne December 16^th 1723, and was baptised on the 22^ond day of the same month.

My son Matthew second deceased Jan 3^d 1724-25.

My daughter Sarah aforesaid deceased, Nov 23^d 1733, living fourteen years 6 days and about 6 hours.

My daughter Mary was borne Nov 8^th 1734.

My said daughter Mary departed this life April 25^th 1745 aged ten years five months and 17 days.
