"58. Samuel4 Botsford (Hannah [Baldwin]3, Mary2, Gov. Thomas1), born 30 July 1670 in Milford, Connecticut (VR 1:10 and Barbour citing Old Long Book:23); baptized 31 July 1670 (Milford First Congregational Church Records, slip index citing 1:11); and died 14 November 1745 at age 'about' 78 according to his gravestone in the Milford Center Cemetery (Hale 136). … The will of Samuel Botsford was dated 23 January 1744/45 and proved 28 November 1745. It names his eldest son Samuel, sons Ebenezer, Jonathan, and David; and daughters Hannah and Mehitable (New Haven Probate District, vol. 6, page numbers too dark to read, however, Botsford (1977) 45-47 supplies the date of proof by which the will transcription can be found)."
