"Samuel Beard s of John and Mrs. Anna (Hawley, Uffoote) was born 4 February 1669 (MVR). He married 8 July 1696 Sarah Clark who was born 21 June 1678 dau of George and Deborah (Gold). He was ensign and Lieutenant in the trained band. Removed to Ripton now Huntington, Conn. ca 1726."
