    On 13 Aug. 1702 Samuel Avery of Seabrook, New London Co., Conn, cordwainer, and "Elizabeth his wife, only daughter & heir of Jonathan Raynsford late of Boston, dec'd," conveyed to John Sunderland of Boston, mariner, for L-125, land and house in the north part of Boston. Samuel Avery signed as "Jr." and Elizabeth signed by mark, and Samuel receipts L-75, added to the L-50 already "Paid unto Mr. Abraham Gourdon." They acknowledged the same date at New London, witnessed by Samuel Avery, Andrew Palmer, and Ebenezer Avery, rec. 16 Feb. 1702/3 (Suffolk Deeds, 16:182, 21:171).
