    Birthdate listed as May 1833.

  2. 2.0 2.1 Named as the last (youngest) grandchild in his grandmother's will of 1849. Age 23 when married in 1857 suggests birth about 1834. Pretty sure he is here in 1850 (line 40), 1855 (left side, line 7). He definitely is the person who married in 1857. He may be this shoemaker in New York in 1860 (line 28), with no wife. In his father's probate 1877, he is not listed, his daughter and son-in-law appearing in his stead, suggesting he died (or was presumed to have). However, he had not. He appears to be the Civil War vet found in North Dakota in 1890 here since the 1900 census shows him listed there in (lines 30-31) with his apparently widowed son-in-law. A Civil War vet named Sampson W Fry is reported dead on 21 Feb 1910 here, which appears to be a match with a gravestone in Berlin giving dates 1833-1910 and shared with David Fry who is presumably his half-brother.
