[edit] Information on Samuel RobinsonSarah Cathey married Samuel Roberson between 1810 and ca 1818 in Haywood County. No marriage record was found, but the marriage is proven by the 1826 deed naming the heirs of William Cathey. It listed Sarah Robinson and husband Samuel Robinson. Samuel Roberson was born ca 1798/99 (per 1850 census) in North Carolina. I don't know who his parents were. Since his surname is spelled various different ways (Robinson, Robertson, Roberson, etc.), it makes research a little more difficult. The 1810 census shows one G. Andrew Robison in Haywood County. He had apparent children Samuel's age. I mention him because Samuel named one of his sons "Andrew" (though he could have been named after Andrew Cathey instead). There were four Robertson families in 1810 Haywood: Isaac, William, John and Mary. Of these, only Isaac and Mary had apparent sons of Samuel's approximate age then. Her widowed husband Samuel Robison obtained a marriage bond in Haywood County on 12 Apr 1828 to marry Nancy Kilby. His brother-in-law Thomas Cathey was the bondsman.
