line 28. - ↑ The copy of the marriage record sent to the state ([1]) gives her names as Sarah Polly Wellman. It seems strange to have a nickname for a middle name and since her name is either Sarah or Sally in all other records, it is not clear if there was some confusion in copying the record. Source:Rugg, Ellen R. Descendants of John Rugg, p. 315, gives her death as 19 Jun 1854, aged 77, while a Find A Grave memorial with no gravestone image gives the death as 20 Jun 1854. No actual death record has been located.
