It is unknown what the basis is for Potter's information about Sally. Neither birth nor death record seem to exist. But it fits what is known: her name matches the marriage record for Stephen Barrett, her mother was a Sarah Barrett of Concord who died as a widow by 1826 and Sally was sole surviving child (see her mother's probate) and her husband died as a widower in 1856 (see her husband's death record).
