She and Nora were twin sisters. She was born in DeWitt, AR butlived in many different places as she was growing up ie.Washington (State), Florida, Texas, and finally Louisiana.

{Grandmother was married twice, first to my Grandfather, then toMr. W. B. Burgess for a short time then divorced him. She was atwin to Nora Wilson Goree. She was at our home quite often andalways wanted us to be perfect. Grandmother would have doneanything we ask. Once when my husband and I and our small sonwere living in Baton Rouge, LA and I needed to look for a job,Grandmother caught a bus with her own money and came to staywith us to look after Jim while I looked for a job. I alwayssaid that Grandmother would give you the shirt off herback....but she would tell you just how to wear it!}

She and my Grandfather were divorced when Mother was small. Bothof them outlived my Mother (their only child) and lived innursing homes 1 mile apart. My Mother visited both of themseveral times a week while she could. Grandmother and PaPa diedone month apart without seeing each other since the divorce.
