Sadie Boersma (nee Slager)

South Holland, IL Sadie Boersma (nee Slager), 80, late of South Holland, IL, passed away December 10, 1999. Beloved wife of the late Peter Boersma. Devoted mother of Len (Shirley) Boersma and Jean Perz of South Holland, IL. Proud grandmother of Scott (Barb) Boersma, Sheri (Andrew) McGrail, Sandra (Tim) Gray and Steven Boersma; Great-grandmother of eight; Dearest sister of Bill (Agnes), Albert (Grace) Slager, Theresa (late Harland) Heller and the late John, George, Pete, Pat, Tom and Anna Slager. Dear sister-in-law of Jeanette and Ellen Slager and Cathryn Boersma. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday, December 14th, from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services Wednesday, December 15th, 10:30 a.m. Rev. Robert Bouwer officiating, at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt 6), South Holland, IL. Interment, Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery. Sadie was a dedicated 40 year employee for the Village of South Holland as the head crossing guard and will be greatly missed by all. 708-333-7000.
