Geography & History of the County of Digby, N.S. by Wilson on page 324,325 says: Sabine Savary possessed remarkable physical energy and powers ofendurance. He early filled a considerable space in commercial arena ofDigby, first with Eastport, Maine, then a market frequented by traders ofwestern Nova Scotia, later a pioneer of the "Boston Trade;" afterwardsshipbuilded while prosecuting commerce with St. John, N.B. He longpossessed great personal influence in Plympton, where he resided on thepaternal homestead, and died May 1st 1878, aged over 90 years. References
