Geography & History of the County of Digby, N.S. by Wilson on page 324,325 says:

    Sabine Savary possessed remarkable physical energy and powers ofendurance.  He early filled a considerable space in commercial arena ofDigby, first with Eastport, Maine, then a market frequented by traders ofwestern Nova Scotia, later a pioneer of the "Boston Trade;" afterwardsshipbuilded while prosecuting commerce with St. John, N.B.  He longpossessed great personal influence in Plympton, where he resided on thepaternal homestead, and died May 1st 1878, aged over 90 years.
