Ruth (Warner), b. about 1641 ("Wariner _____ about 16 y" 10 December 1657; living unmarried on 18 June 1681 (date of father's will); perhaps married John Kellogg [Warner Harrington 705].

The name of her husband has been variously reported as John or Daniel Pratt, _____ Caley, or _____ Kellogg. The Pratt is doubtless an error for her sister Hannah's marriage. The name Caley does not appear among the early colonists. Of the early Kelloggs but one is recorded as having a wife Ruth. John4 Kellogg, son of Lieutenant Joseph3 Kellogg, bapt. in Farmington, Conn., Dec 29, 1656, m. (i) in Hadley, Dec. 23, 1680, Sarah Moody, b. 1660, d. 1689, m. (2) Ruth _____, who died after 1732. He died between 1723 and 1728. By this second marriage he had six children, born between 1693 and 1701, Ruth, Joanna, Esther, Abigail, John and James. (Kelloggs in the old world and new, p. 35.)

NOTE: In order for her to be the mother of John4 Kellogg's six children, she would have to have been born no earlier than about 1656. It would seem highly unlikely that she was Kellogg's wife and mother of those children.
