  2. ↑ No evidence found to identify Ruth Sawyer. Possibly, the d/o Moses Sawyer and his wife Dinah, who had a daughter Ruth bp. Sterling 1758. 24 Oct 1768: Moses Sawyer of Lancaster purchased Lot #11 in Ervingshire from Samuel Lock (Hampden deed Vol. 21, p. 46) possibly placing them in the area before the 1779 marriage. More research needed.
