  4.   Source:Browne, George Waldo. History of Hillsborough, New Hampshire, 1735-1921, p. 320, says Peter Howe m. (1) "Grace Rice", m. (2) Molly Smith, and that Ruth was daughter of the second wife. There is no marriage of Peter How or Howe to Grace Rice, only Grace Bush in 1718. The marriage record for Mary Smith is to Peter How Jr. and doesn't occur until 1754. This is clearly wrong for Ruth, b. 1736.
