    Ruth G. Strickler
    Services for Ruth G Strickler, who died Aug. 16,1987, will be held graveside at the Davis Creek Cemetery, Davis Creek on Friday, Aug 21 at 2:00 p.m.

    Mrs. Strickler had spent over 30 years of her life as a school teacher in Modoc County. She was 99 years of age when she passed on in Purshing General Hospital in Lovelock, Nev. She was born in Gordon, Neb. to Ida (Howard) and Robert Graham on May 13, 1888. She taught school in Colorado and in Modoc.

    She married Frank Strickler in Alturas in January of 1915, He preceded her in death in 1955 at Willow Ranch. After her husband's death, she moved to Lovelock, Nev. where she had made her home until her demise. Mrs. Strickler was a member of the California Retired Teachers Association and the Presbyterian Church. She leaves a daughter, Frances Killfoil of Lovelock, Nev.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
