"1486 Ruth (Samuel, Benjamin, Philip) was born at Woodbury, Conn., Nov. 13, 1745; she married at Woodbury, Mar. 5, 1766, Samuel Luddington, born ~~there~~ [Branford] April 13 [30], 1744, son of William and Mary (Knowles) Luddington of East Haven, Conn."

Ruth Galpin's birth is not recorded in any published Connecticut vital records. 13 November 1745 is the recorded date of her mother's death, and it may well be that Ruth was born that day, her mother dying almost immediately in childbed.
