Sarah McCoy and Ruth Gaddis were sisters-in-law! Sarah McCoy Sutton's brother, John Thomas McCoy married Ruth Gaddis. Ruth was the daughter of Col. Thomas Gaddis, who built Gaddis Fort. Uniontown, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania. Sadly, McCoy's Blockhouse is long gone. I can remember a historical marker along the road, (Bailey Lane) that marked the place of McCoy's Fort.
