  2. Ruth Eddy is listed on p. 1233 of Source:Eddy, Ruth Story Devereux. Eddy Family in America, a Genealogy (1930) as an unplaced Eddy, and none of the 1940, 1968, or 1980 supplements seem to offer anything further. No record of a Ruth Eddy is found. A Benjamin Eddy died in Oxford in 1729, no probate, who had three wives, the first marriage in 1707, so he could easily have an unrecorded daughter Ruth of an appropriate age, but no evidence that he did, or that this is the father, has been found. He sold land to Jonathan Pratt, but it was probably the father, not the Jonathan who married Ruth, and it happened when the son was still married to his first wife, so no relation was present at that time, anyway.
