Ruth, d/o Benjamin Balch and Sarah Gardner, b. Beverly abt. 1665. She was still living when she signed a deed 15 Oct 1731 as a widow and living in Boston. She m. Joseph Drinker who was b. Exeter, England 31 Mar 1653.
[Regarding status as widow in 1731, note the following record from Source:Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records of Beverly, Massachusetts, to the End of Year 1849, p. 166:
Drinker, Ruth, d. Joseph and Abigail [sic], [born] June 1, 1695.
Was this an error by the town clerk on this one record (3 earlier children specify mother's name as Ruth), or did Joseph remarry, and was the widow in 1731 actually named Abigail?]
