Obituary

BUXTON -- Mr. Russell L. Buxton, aged 67, of Gun Lake, passed away Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital. Surviving are his children, James and Judy Groendyke of Caledonia, Bara and Jack Huizinga of Grand Rapids, Rod and Connie Buxton of Gun Lake, Chuck and Vicki Buxton of Gun Lake, Del Buxton of Gun Lake, Dawn and Michael Paulin of Cadillac; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Noffke of Lake Odessa; a brother, Henry and Crystal Buxton of Charlotte; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Wendell Stine of Burton Heights United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. The family will receive friends Saturday 7 to 9 and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Metcalf & Jonkhoff, 4500 Kalamazoo SE.
