Facts and Events
Name Rufus Perrigo
Gender Male
Birth[1][2][3][4][5] Est 1762 Dover, Dutchess, New York, United States
Marriage to Annie Hurlbut (add)
Marriage to Prudence _____
Death[5] 9 Jun 1833 St. Albans, Franklin, Vermont, United States

He was said to have been married to Annie Hurlbut, yet vital records give the name of the mother of 4 of his children as Prudence. The mother of the last children is unlikely to have been the mother of 3 children born before 1790 (1800 census[1]). Therefore, it is assumed that Annie Hurlbut was his first wife, and that he married Prudence by 1797 (when Sally was born). Given the gap in birth years of the children, it is assumed that Prudence was the mother of David as well.
