- Dublin, Indiana- Ruby Elaine Wampler, 88, passed away on Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. A lifelong Dublin resident, Ruby was born here on September 24, 1923 to the late Tolbert Shirrel and Almira (Zook) Morris. Ruby graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1942. She worked as a secretary for Converto Manufacturing in Cambridge City, First Federal Savings and Loan Association in Richmond and Brooks Foods in Mt. Summit. Survivors include 4 children, Barry (Portia) Wampler of Bourbon, IN, Barbara (Tony) Hunt-Chavez of Dublin, IN, Linda (Mike) Poindexter of Lake City, FL, Susan (Tom) Wickes of Richmond, IN; 12 grandchildren, Krista (Rob) Bocko, Kara (Ben) Snyder, Katie (Abdon) Ortiz, Jed Wampler, Chelsea (Gerardo) Cruz, Emily and Zach Wampler, Brad (Dana) Hunt, Jennifer Chavez, Trevor Poindexter, Travis (Cresta) Wickes and Michelle (Walter) Wickes-Smith; 11 great grandchildren, Grace, Eric, Lily and Calvin Bocko, Ella Snyder, Emma Ortiz, Tyler and Bret Hunt, Cole Poindexter, Jason Murray and Brooklynne Smith; 1 sister, Elinor Duffin of Spring Hill, FL; nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Ivan W. Wampler on October 31, 1999. They were married in Dublin, Indiana on April 19, 1946 by the minister of the Dublin Friends Church. 1 sister, Helen Rains; 1 brother James Morris. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Dublin Public Library- P.O.
