Frazier Tuesday, June 21, 2005 Dorothy C. Frazier, 98, of Sweet Springs, died Monday, June 20, 2005, at Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan. William W. Harlow will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Wesley United Methodist Church in Sweet Springs or the charity of donor's choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Born April 1, 1907, in Green Ridge, she was the daughter of the late John Arnold Calvert and Nellie May Anderson Calvert. In August 1925, she married Harold J. Raines, who preceded her in death in 1963. On June 21, 1971, she married Robert George Frazier, who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1979. She was a graduate of Green Ridge High School, and had lived in Green Ridge until 1945, when she moved to Kansas City. She moved to Sweet Springs in May 1980. She had worked for Miller Dry Cleaning and Laundry in Kansas City for 35 years, previously working as chief telephone operator for United Telephone in Green Ridge for 16 years. She was a member of Westport Presbyterian Church in Kansas City for 30 years, then became a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sweet Springs. She was a member of the Sweet Springs Senior Center. Survivors include one sister, Georgetta Rippley of Sweet Springs; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Andrew J. Raines; two sisters, Corda Craig and Elma Butcher; and two brothers, Finis Arnold Calvert and John Anderson Calvert. References
