Ruben D. Thomas, 93 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015. Ruben was born March 1, 1922 to William and Eunie (Low) Thomas in Kirkland, TX.
He was a united in marriage to Olean Barclay on December 25, 1941 in Glen Rose, TX; she preceded him in death. Ruben proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 4th Infantry during WWII.
In addition to his beloved wife, Olean, his is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: J.B., Wayne, and Billy Thomas; sister: Mildred Louise Thomas.
Ruben is survived by two daughters and five grandchildren.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Ruben will be available for viewing from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the evening on Friday, March 20, 2015 and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the funeral home in Dumas.
