According to Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Field Genealogy, p. 226, Roxana "died in a fit in the meeting house in Hinsdale, Aug. 14, 1786, aged twenty-nine." This was just over a year after her husband drowned. The three young daughters where raised by their paternal grandparents.
