Facts and Events
Although ROSINE was born in Huntington County, Indiana, somehow she met and then married her husband, Jacob Christian ANKNEY, who was apparently a resident of Tuscarawas County, Ohio. The settlement pattern of these German Reformed pioneers was to move west to Wabash (and adjacent Huntington) County, and not go back. There must be a story here that would explain why Rosine was the only one (that we know of) in her extended family to return to Tuscarawas (or Stark) County. Perhaps Sandra McBride knows? On her father's WeRelate page, there is a family picture of Rosine's parents, and nine of the siblings - she may be one of those pictured? Rosine was a second cousin of Herman Lower, who was born in Wabash County (in the Urbana, Indiana area) in 1878. Herman was a descendant of "White Creek's" ancestors, Johann Henry Geibel, and Elizabeth Margaretha Glasser, who are buried in Wabash County, and have WeRelate.org pages. --White Creek 16:58, 9 April 2017 (UTC) References
