According to an old web posting on the Canadian Chiefs of Police website: Sergeant Ronald Eugene McKean Collingwood Police Circumstances Surrounding Death: Sgt. McKean was attempting to arrest an escapee from Kingston Penitentiary. The two struggled for control of a sawed off shot gun but it went off and Sgt. McKean was shot in the chest. Date of Death: October 12, 1977 Date of Birth: Unknown Age: 32 Years of Service: 14
