    DES MOINES HIGH SCHOOL
    STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE

Des Moines, June 2 (I. N. S.)---An investigation will be held today into the suicide of Ronald Maize, 19, student at a local high school, in the basement of the apartment building in which he lived.

Ronald's body was found last night by his father, seeking to bid him goodbye before leaving on a business trip. No one in the family, which resides on the third floor of the building, heard the report of the pistol as the boy shot himself in the throat.

He had been despondent because of ill health and because he was failing in his studies, according to his father.

His parents and two brothers survive.
