He married 10 April 1712 (Milford Vital Records) Susanna Bryan who died 15 May 1776 ae 86 (gravestone, Milford) dau of Samuel & Martha (Whiting). Col. Roger was an officer of distinguished service in the expeditions of 1709 and 1710. Col. of the 2nd Regt. of Militia. Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for 33 years."
