    'Yates, Rev. Robert, son of Bartholomew Yates, was born in 1715; matriculated at Oriell College, Oxford, July 12, 1733, and graduated Bachelor of Arts, 1735. He was minister of Petsworth parish, Gloucester county, Virginia, from 1741 to 1761. He married Mary Randolph, daughter of Edward Randolph, and died in 1761.'
