"Care must be taken to distinguish between Robert Rose of Wethersfield and Branford, Conn., and a Robert Rose who appeared in records of East Hampton, Long Island, by 1648 and died there by 1652, leaving a widow Dorothy and children, for whom see The American Genealogist, vol. 11, pp 142-3."
