Genealogical Record of Daniel Pond and His Descendants, p. 15, reports this date as 1694, but that choice requires the author to postulate three sons named Robert who all died young with no birth for the first, no death for the second or third. The record (see link below) is unreadable. It seems more likely that this is 1695 and represents the death of the first recorded son. Here are the two births, and death.
