"Robert Parsons was at Lynn, Massachusetts, owning land in 1638. Made a Freeman on March 14, 1639; sat on the Jury at Salem on March 25, 1640 as 'Robert Parsons of Lynn.' At a Court held at Salem on January 26, 1649, Robert Parsons freed from training on account of infirmity (Annals of Lynn, Salem Quarterly Court Records), showing that he had reached his 60th year. Many of the first settlers of Southampton and Easthampton came from Lynn, Massachusetts, and it is not surprising that we find Robert Parsons first there."
