Robert Newbery spent his adult life as a photographer in a small town north of Toronto. Unfortunately, his collection of glass negatives which remained after his death is reputed to have been used to build some local greenhouses. Only a few of his family photographs are in my collection.

- ↑ Robert Newbery gave his birthplace on his marriage registration. It was very hard to identify, but my best guess was "Township of Frankland, England". GENUKI has a gazetteer which led me to either Frankland in Sampford Courtenay parish or Franklands Hennock parish in Devon.
