Robert Livingston the Elder (December 13, 1654 – 1728) was a merchant, fur trader and government official in colonial New York. He was granted a patent to 160,000 acres (650 km²/ 250 sq mi) of land along the Hudson River, becoming the first lord of Livingston Manor. Will Probated Aug 1728 in New York, Will Book Vol 010, 1724-1728, page 197. The will Clearly identifies is Son's Robert Livingston, Phillip Livingston, and Gilbert Livingston. Also 2 Daughters Margaret, wife of Samuel Vetch and Joanna, wife of Cornelis G. Vanhorne.
