A copy of of Robert Jamison's Will is on file at the Todd County, Kentucky Court House. Will is dated February 13, 1826. The Will names Enos Jamison as one of the Executors.
Robert was apparently married twice. His first wife, Ruth Webster, gave birth to 4 sons, George, Thomas, Robert and Isaac. The remaining children were apparently by his second wife, Agnes Nancy Edgar, the children were, sons, Enos, Ephraim, Andrew Jackson, Presley M. and William. The daughters were, Sidney, Permelia, Rose Alinda (Ring) , Rebecca and Sara.
Robert moved from Chester County, Pennsylvania to Botetourt County, Virginia on September 26th 1786. Record of Robert's Marriage and death and George's, his first son by his first marriage, birth, marriage and death records were all recorded in the family Bible. A copy of the record is in the Library at Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas. Marriage of his son, George Jamison, is listed in the "Kentucky Marriage Records", published by Genealogical Publishing Company and shows Robert Jemison as a witness.
Robert Jamison and his wife Nancy were members of the Red River Baptist Church, Robertson County, Tennessee. First record was recorded on Saturday, October 12, 1812, last record was dated November 6, 1813. Son Presley (D) Jamison and a Jane Jamison also show on the records dated Friday July 15, 1826.
Robert Henry Jamison / Jemison came from Botetourt County, Virginia according to the Bible records of his family. Robert and his family migrated September 26th, 1786 from Chester County, Pennsylvania and settled in Botetourt County, Virginia. The family left Virginia on September 17, 1798 and settled in Logan County, Kentucky. He may have a brother, John Jamison, who was also residing in Botetourt County as well. In Logan County, Kentucky in 1800, there were three Jamison's, Andrew, Robert and Wiliam they were probably brothers, and all were from Botetourt ( Rockbridge) County, Virginia. The Andrew Jamison taxed in 1800 is apparently not the same Andrew Jamison listed for a child of Robert and Ruth since he would have been only 13 years old at the time of the 1800 Tax List in which Andrew Jamison is listed on. Robert Jamison may also have a brother, John Jamison, residing at the same time in Botetourt County, Virginia, as he. This John Jamison had a son also named John who married Elizabeth Douglas: these marriage returns are as follows;
