He was the husband of Grethern Farmer Isley, who survives, and the son of the late Robert N. Isley Sr. and Sadie Williams Isley. He retired from Southern Bell with 34 years of service and also worked with Telaco for 15 years. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and attended Harvest Hills Church. He loved to spend time with his children and all of his grandchildren. Survivors other than his wife of the home include daughters, Angelia Stevens and husband, Shane and Tammy Honeycutt and husband, Brian, all of Gibsonville; sons, Clarence R. Isley of Florida and Bryan Farmer of Burlington; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hedrick L. Isley and wife, Tanya, of Hartwell, Ga. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Sykes Isley; a son, David Lee Isley; a sister, Christine Smith; and a brother, Boyd H. Isley. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008, at the McClure Funeral Service Chapel in Graham by Dr. Russell Morris and the Rev. Billy Allen. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 until 3 p.m. the day of the service at McClure Funeral Service in Graham, and at other times at the residence of the daughter Tammy, 117 Eva Drive, Gibsonville.
