He earned his B.D. at Lane Seminary, Cincinnati,Ohio, and his D.D. at Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, Iowa. He heldPresbyterian pastorates in Troy, Ohio, Greensburg & Richmond, Ind,. andCedar Rapids, Iowa. He also served two terms as County Recorder, Logan Co., 1937-1945.
