    East Feliciana Parish...petition of Rufus A. Draughon of said Parish respectfully represents that Robert Draughon late of said Parish died on the 27th day of September in the year 1841 in said Parish leaving real and personal property and slaves, and also a widow Susannah Draughon...and the following children...Shepherd B. Draughon, Emiline the wife of Reuben W. Patrick, Amanda wife of Isam Jackson, Epsey wife of Lewis Davis, Margaret Draughon and your petitioner also the following children minors, viz. Robert, Pamela and Malvina, all of said heirs, excepting said Shepherd who resides in the Parish of St Helena, residing in said Parish of East Feliciana. Petitioner prays for inventory.

    5 Feb 1844, sale of the estate of Robert Draughon; 160 acres, the place on which Robert Draughon resided at his decease, bounded N and W by James H. Shropshire, also negroes George and Diana, bought by Rufus A. Draughon and Susannah (x) Draughon; others buyers included H. M. McClure, T. Rogers, J. H. Shropshire, Uriah Youngblood, Lewis Martin, J. Jackson, M. Bowman, H. McKie, J. Jackson, R. H. Draughon.

    6 Dec 1850, Reuben W. Patrick granted letter of tutorship to Malvina Draughon minor child of Robert and Susannah Draughon, both deceased.

    6 Dec 1850, E Feliciana Par., LA, Reuben W. Patrick, tutor to Malvina Draughon, deposed that Robert Draughon decd. was a Second Lieutenant in the company commanded by Capt David DeArmond of LA Militia in the War of 1812, was a volunteer in "Feliciana Parish" and rendezvoused on or about 25 Dec 1814 and continued in service until peace was proclaimed and he was discharged at New Orleans 10 March 1815. He has been appointed tutor to said Robert Draughon's only surviving minor child Malvina, that said Robert died on or about 18 Sept 1842 [sic], that he has no surviving widow, and that said minor is now aged 19 years. He applies for bounty land entitled under the act of 28 Sept 1850.
