After many years of suffering, Robert L. Cornthwait, one of the well known citizens of Milton, died Monday morning, aged 81 years. He was born Nov. 8 1830, in Butler county, Ohio, where he married Mary M. Good, who died many years ago. In 1861, Mr Cornthwait came to Indiana and bought a farm southeast of Milton, where he lived until enfeebled by ill heath and advancing years, when he moved to his town. Later he married Sarah Vogelsong, who survives, but in poor health. By his first marriage Mr. Cornthwait was the father of four children - John, Kokomo, Squire, Cambridge City, Mrs. John Hebble of Shawnee Okla., and Mrs Mary Kimmer, of near Richmond. He was a member of Milton Masonic Lodge, which will have charge of his funeral Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the home. Rev. Pinnick of the M. E. church, of which Mr. Cornthwait was a member, with conduct religious services. Burial at Westside Cemetery. A kind man, a good neighbor, and a faithful citizen has gone to his reward.
