Elizabeth, who was called "Betsey", was born between 1780 and 1790 in either Virginia or Eastern Tennessee. She married Robert A. Caskey Junior on 5 April 1810 in Adair County, Kentucky. He was the son of Robert Caskey, Senior and Jane Caskey, who apparently came to this part of Kentucky from New Jersey or Pennsylvania, according to researchers, and one of those places is where Robert Jr. was born about 1785. He and Elizabeth are on the Adair County censuses in 1810 and 1820. On 12 September 1826, his 82 year old father, Robert Caskey Senior, was murdered by one Malcolm Worley, age 25, in Greene or Adair County, according to the Kentucky Register.
