    His stone is next to one for his father, Chapin Kidder Mardin. Neither of these stones appear to be a correct style for the time periods of thier deaths which suggests they were placed on the graves a considerable time after the deaths occured. Perhaps the stones are replacements for ones that had been vandalized.
