"RichardA Wolterton (JohnB was born probably at Welbourne, county Norfolk, say 1550 and died before 1618 when his son was admitted a freeman of Norwich as son of Richard, deceased (Norwich Freemen, 144), but no will or administration found. He married at St. Giles, Norwich, county Norfolk, on 4 February 1578/9 Mary Bensley known to be living 1589 at birth of last recorded child and probably survived the 1590s as Richard's only wife. Richard was a Freeman of Norwich, tanner, 18 Elizabeth, i.e., 1576 (Norwich Freemen, 155)."
