A transcription of his PCC will:

In the Name of God Amen The tenth day of December Anno Domini 1722 I Richard Wilson of Bwlch y Llynn in the County of Mountgomery Gent being weake in body but of perfect memory (praise be God) Doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner following (vizt) First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sinns And as for my body to be buried in Christian buriall at the discretion of my Executor herein after nominated Item my Will is that my Sonn John Wilson do every yeare pay upon St Thomas day unto the viccar and Churchwardens of the severall parishes of Trevegloes and Llanwonog the sume of Three pounds to each parish to be distributed by them amongst the poore according to the true meaning of the last Will of my Father John Wilson Gent deceased And also that my sonn John Wilson do distribute the sume of Five yearly upon or before the first day of March among the oldest and poorest people of the said parish of Trevegloes as alsoe the summe of Five pounds yearly upon or before the said First day of March among the oldest and poorest people of the said parish of Llanwonog according to the true meaning of the last Will of my said father deceased My said sonn John Wilson receiving the annuall rente issues and profitts of the severall Messuages Tenements and lands mentioned in my fathers last Will to inable him to make the said payments Item I give and bequeath unto my sonn in law James Baxter and his wife the summe of Five pounds a peice to buy them mourning suites Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonn Richard Wilson the summe of five hundred pounds to be paid him in manner following (vizt) Three hundred pounds part thereof when he comes out his time or apprenticeshipp from Mr. -- Murbleston in Shrewsbury and the other Twoe hundred pounds to be paid him when he comes to the age of Five and Twenty years and alsoe that my sonn John Wilson pay unto my son Richard Wilson the summe of Twenty pounds towards Cloathing him till such time as he comes out of his --- apprenticeship which is to be in discharge of a Legacy left my said Sonnn Richard by Jo’n Bennett deceased Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ursula Wilson the summe of Foure hundred and fifty pounds to be paid her when she comes of the age of five and Twenty yeares and in the meane time to pay her Two and twenty pounds tenn shillings yearly being the interest thereof towards maintaining her and alsoe the summe of Forty pounds in full discharge of a legacy left her by John Bennett deceased And my Will is that my said daughter Ursula Wilson marry with the consente and by the Approbations of my Sonn John Wilson and my Sonn in law James Baxter Item I give and bequeath unto my sonn Edward Wilson the summe of Foure hundred pounds to be paid him when he comes of the age of five and Twenty yeares and in the meane time to pay him Twenty pounds yearly being the interest thereof towards maintaining him in Beford if he goes there or otherwise disposed of himselfe and alsoe that my sonn John Wilson do pay unto my Sonn Edward Twenty pounds towards equipping him with necessaries to goe to Beford which is to be in full discharge of a legacy left him by John Bennett deceased Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Richard Baxter the summe of fifty pounds to be paid him when he comes of the age of seaventeen yeares Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Hugh Wilson tenn pounds to buy him mourning or what he pleases And my will is that my Sonn John Wilson do pay foure pounds a peice to my Sonns Richard and Edward and daughter Ursula to buy each of them a mourning suite Item after my debts and funerall expences are paid and to enable my sonn John Wilson to discharge the same I give devise and bequeath all my Estate of Inheritance and freehold lands and leasehold lands in the severall parishes of Trevegloes Llanidloes Llandynam Llangirrigg and Carnoe in the County of Mountgomery As also all my personall Estate of what kind soever unto my deare and well beloved sonn John Wilson whome I pray to God to bless and direct him to act honestly in this transitory world in order to gaine Everlasting happiness in the world to come and I do nominate and appoint my said deare sonn John Wilson sole Executor of his my last Will and Testament revokeing all other Wills by me made In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written Ri. Wilson . signed sealed published and declared to be my last Will and Testament in the presence and sight of us Evan Bowen Edward Jarman Charles Hamer
