217. Richard1 Wicom (called Richard Nalam in Gage's Hist. Rowley, p. 130) had an acre and half house lot, 1643. By deed dated 25 June, 1661, he gave his homestead and some other lands to his son John, in consideration of support of self and wife, Ann, during life (Essex Deeds, 2 Ips.:199). John Wicom sold this homestead, in 1683, to John Pickard (Essex Deeds, 5 Ips.:39). He was buried 27 Jan., 1663-4. … It is probable that Thomas Wickham who was established in Wethersfield, Conn., in 1639, was brother to Richard [No; Thomas Wickham was the only child of Thomas Wickham of North Mundham, Sussex].
