In the name of god amen the Eleventh daye of June in the fortie one yeare of the raigne of our most gratious soveraigne Lady Elizabeth by the grace of god Queene of England France and Ireland defender of the fayth etc And in the yeare of the Lord god A thousand fyve hundred nyntienyne, I Richard Weaver of Hexted in the parishe of Lingfeilde in the countie of Surry yeoman beinge weake in bodye but yet of good sounde and perfecte remembrance thankes be geven to God, Doe make and ordaine this my Last will and testament in manner and forme followinge; First I bequeath my sowle into the handes of Almightie God my maker in whose mercies I trust to be saved and to have full remission of all my synnes through the precious bloude of Jesus Christ. Item I will that my bodye wheresoever yt shall please God to call me out of this lyfe shalbe buryed in the parishe Church of Lingfeilde as neere to my Father as maye be, Item I gyve to the poore people of the parishe of Lingfeilde aforesayde Tenne poundes of Lawfull Englishe money to be distributed amongst them at the discretion of myne overseers within one yeare next after my decease. Item I gyve to the poore people of the parishe of Etonbridge fortie shillinges of Lawfull English money to be distributed amongest them also by myne overseers hereunder named within sixe monethes next after my decease, Item I gyve also unto the poore people of the parishe of Oxted Twentie shillinges of Lawfull English money to be distributed amongest them at the discretion of myne overseers hereunder named within six monethes next after my decease, Item I gyve unto the poore of the parishe of Lingsfeilde Twentie shillings to be distributed amongest them by myne overseers within six monethes next after my decease, Item I gyve unto Katheryn Jewell my Servante foure poundes of Lawfull English money to be distributed unto her my myne Executrics within one yeare next after my decease; Item I gyve unto William Jewell my Servante Three poundes Item I gyve unto Richard Medherste my Servante Twentie Shillinges; Item I gyve unto Christopher Patricke my Servante Tenne Shillings; Item I gyve unto John Lich my Servante Tenne shillings; Item I gyve unto Clemence Water my Servante Twentie Shillings Item I gyve unto Anne Stone my Servante Tenne Shillings; Item I gyve unto Thomas Weaver his Children. that is to saye John and William Five poundes a peece. Item I gyve unto Richard Weaver sonne unto the saide Thomas Three poundes; Item I gyve unto the children of the sayde Richard Weaver Seaven poundes to be devided equallie amongest them; Item I gyve unto Anne Dane the wiefe of William Chilman Fyve poundes; Item I gyve unto Eme Dane the wife of John Eaton five poundes; Item I gyve unto Richard Dane her brother foure poundes; Item I gyve unto every one of my godchildren Three shillings foure pence a peece; All which legacies geven unto my servants and kinsfoulke and godchildren my will is, shalbe delyvered unto them by myne Executrics hereunder named, within one yeare next after my decease; Item I gyve unto Brigett Homden the daughter of Anthony Homedon Fyftie poundes of Lawfull Englishe money [which is already in her handes -- (crossed out)] to be paide unto her within three yeares next after my decease; Item I gyve unto Alexander Hollowaye my uncle Threescore and fyve poundes of Lawfull english money, which is already in his handes; Item I gyve unto the sayd Allexander Hollowaye my uncle one parcell of Lande called millards or by what other name soever yt be called with the appurtenances thereunto belonging lyeinge and beinge in the parishe of Lingfield aforesaide within the countie of Surrey which is in the occupacon of William Bannyster and John Bannister his brother, To have and to hold the sayde parcell of lande with thappurtenances to the sayde Alexander and to his heires for ever; All the reste of my Landes and leases goodes cattells and chattells moveable and unmoveable my debts and legacies beinge paide and my funerall expences discharged I whollie gyve & bequeath unto Joane weaver and Awdrey Weaver my Systers, to be equallie devided betwixt them which Joane and Awdrey I make my whole Executrics of this my last will and Testament; And I make and ordaine overseers of this my last will and Testament Reighnould Homeden and Robert Leigh the elder; And I gyve unto ech of them for theire paines takinge therein Twentie shillings a peece: This is the last will and Testament of me Richard Weaver of the parishe of Lingfield in the countie of Surrey, whereunto I have sett my hand and seale the daye and yeare above written: Richard Weaver, witnesses at the sealinge hereof Thomas Jackeson frist Renould Homedon Roberte Leigh John Welles, the marke of William Chilman
