Disputed Lineages
Renshaw notes that Berry's Sussex Genealogies, and Lower's work on the Scrase's, state that Richard had four sons, but in fact he was never married. His will mentions no child of his, but mentions Jane Trowt, to whom he was about to be married. He died under the age of 25.
