Richard Puckeridge (1730-1791) = Sarah Head (1733-1766)

Richard Puckeridge married Sarah Head on 3 Feb 1748. It appears as though the marriage took place when Sarah was only 15 years old. They were married at Speen Parish Church in Berkshire. This is the oldest church in Berkshire, the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin which is originally a Saxon church. Speen is a village near Newbury. Sarah Head died at age 33 soon after the birth of her last daughter Dixy. Richard Puckeridge died in 1791 at age 61.

Henry Head Puckeridge was born in Compton berks about 1749. He was christened 12 Feb 1750 at St Mary & St Nicholas church in Compton Berks. He died in Nov 1753 at age 4. He was buried on 10 Nov 1753 at St Mary and St Nicholas church in Compton Berks.

Thomas Head Puckeridge was born in 1753 in Compton berks and christened on 7 Dec 1753 at St Mary & St Nicholas church in Compton Berks. He died in Dec 1777 in Compton and was buried on 18 Dec of the same year. There is no evidence of any marriage.

Sarah Head Puckeridge was born in 1755 and was christened on 8 Aug 1755 at Compton Berks. She married Richard Pottinger in 1778 at age 23. Nothing is known at this time of the heritage of Richard Pottinger.

Elizabeth Louisa Puckeridge was born in 1756 and was christened on 22 Oct 1756 at St Mary & St. Nicholas Church Compton Berks. She married Joseph Chancellor on 21 Mar 1776 at St Mary & St. Nicholas Church, Compton, Berks.

Rachael Puckeridge was born in 1757 in Compton and was christened on 14 Oct 1757 at St Mary & St. Nicholas Church Compton Berks. She died in Oct 1778 at age 21. There is no evidence of any marriage.

Richard Puckeridge was born in 1758. He was christened on 5 Oct 1758 and died soon after in Nov 1758. He was buried at St Mary & St. Nicholas Church Compton Berks on 1 Dec 1758.

Henry Head Puckeridge was born in 1763 and christened on 18 Oct 1763 at St Mary & St. Nicholas Church Compton Berks. He died in 1770 at the age of 7 and was buried at St Mary & St. Nicholas Church on 13 April 1770.

Mary Puckeridge was born in 1764 and christened on 3 Nov 1764. She married a Joseph Taylor.

Dixy Puckeridge was their last child born in 1765. she died at age 3 in 1768.
